Brief Answer: Yes, in moderation. Detailed Answer: Hi, Thank you for using Healthcare Magic. It is not advisable to drink any alcohol whilst on medication as the effect of the medication may be reduced. However, there are no specific problems with ciproflaxacin. I would suggest that if you are going to drink any alcohol, it should be only in moderation. Also keep well hydrated with plenty of water. Ciprofloxacin has a number of side-effects and excess alcohol could add to them so be cautious. I hope this is of help. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Regards, Dr K A Pottinger, MBChB. FRCA
