Kindly give the newborn baby his/her due....BREAST MILK.
Breast milk is the best milk for the baby.
You should not even give a drop of water other than breast milk for the first 6 months of life.
It has been proved now that breastfed babies are healthier, grow better and are protected from the risk of allergy and diabetes in the future.
It is economical and more hygienic. You may have difficulties to start with but you will learn and overcome over a period of time.
Only in the case of adopted babies or mothers on certain medications supplemental feed like LACTOGEN may be given.

1)What kind of Oil should we apply to newly born baby.We have started giving "maalis" to the body of baby using Johnson's oil.The baby seems to be OK with Johnson's oil.Shall we continue with Johnson's oil or give another Oil like some Olive Oil?
2)Is it normal for the babies to pass motion frequently?My baby is passing it around 7-8 times in a day?Hope that's not a concern?
3)Is it necessary to give A-Z multivitamin drops to the baby for the first three months?Will mother's milk be not sufficient for the necessary vitamins?

2. Yes, breastfed babies can pass motions even after each feed.No concern at all.
