Hello,

Welcome and thanks for posting your query to the forum.

I hope this mail finds you in good health. I have gone through your query and noted your concern for preparing vitamin C serum at home.

After diligently understanding the concern let me guide you that it is not a good idea to prepare this kind of serum or any related lotion at home.

If you can see the various preparations in medical scinces then can notice that all the preparations have overleaf written documents of its content as well as the amount or percentage of same. It is a so precise that it's at not even a single percent of difference is present in the same which is written and the content itself.

That is because of the fact that the particlar medicine was proven practically useful and without any side effect on the same amount before being available in the market.

So it is not only the question of efficacy but also safety of the same medicine.

In case if vitamin c serum also if there is improper percent rage of content is there then in lower strenth it would be useless and in higher could be harmful. One can't calibrate the exact concentration of the drug at home.

So my dear yo fellow

Thanks fo the detailed explanation

Can you please let me know what precution should be taken after having applied it ? like no contact with the air? Etc ..

And how does it actually works on the skin, does it penetrate skin and help in some rejuvenation ?

If it is bought today and say has a manufacturing for current month , then how long it sustains its productivity as i read it gradually the serum keeps losing its ingredients productivity?

Thanks

Brief Answer:
Various suggestions for vitamin C serum.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome back and thanks for posting your further concern.

Vitamin C serum has antioxidant property and it works on both superficial and deeper layers of skin. Though it doesn't penetrated very deep and only some part of it is absorbed by the skin. This works by increasing the collagen production as well as preventing the oxidative damage in the skin.

As this is vulnerable for getting oxidised in air and light so it is always to be kept in opaque bottles which are air tight. When it is applied on skin then the time period of application of few minutes is sufficient to give the results. Though some paet is oxidised when applied on the skin but the therapeutic effect is obtained by one single application a day. As I said it gets oxidised so it should be closed as soon as the the required amount is taken and not to be used in day time when sun light is present.

If it is kept airtight and away from sun light then it retains its property till the expiry date. Yes it loses some of its he mics property even after above precaution but that is low if proper care is taken as funded above.

I hope this helps.

Brief Answer:
It is quite safe but always to be observed by dermatologist.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome back and thanks for posting your further concern.

Vitamin C serum is very safe on log term usage and has not caused any side effects in literature or in my own clinical experience.
In my patients I have used longest for 5 years in many patients. Though life long application experiences are yet to be identified but it is alway better to meet a dermatologist to check for any changes in the skin.

I hope this helps.

Thank you for the answer.

I just wanted to check with you on fat injection treatment and how effective is ?

Thanks
doctor
Answered by Dr. Sanjay Kumar Kanodia (1 hour later)
Brief Answer:
Fat transfer injection are effective but invasive.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome back and thanks for posting your further concern.

Fat graft is quite effective method for the improvement in scars. It requires expertise of the person to do the same. We do it by taking fat from the buttock region of the person undergoing the treatment. It is known as Autologous fat transfer technique.

The fat is taken immediately and injected over the scars by simply taking in the syringes. There could be slight bruising or moderate swelling after the injection.

But as it is bit invasive procedure so safety is required in the complete procedure.

I hope this helps.

Hello SIr,

Do they have long lasting effect and are they better then Dermal fillers?

What would be the rough cost and how many sessions would be required as you have seen my pics

Thanks
doctor
Answered by Dr. Sanjay Kumar Kanodia (4 hours later)
Brief Answer:
Fat graft cost is variable as per the number of session

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome back and thanks for posting your further concern.

These have lasting effect than dermal filler filler if properly placed. But because of its invasive nature and pigmentation complications in some patients, I do not prefer the same.

It would cost around 20 to 25 thousand in your case per session. You will require around two to three session. Fat graft cost is variable as per the number of session and amount of fat required. it also depends on the expertise of the person and place you are going.

I hope this helps.

Thanks
doctor
Answered by Dr. Sanjay Kumar Kanodia (7 hours later)
Brief Answer:
Apply after one hour of application.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome back and thanks for posting your further concern.

You can apply vitamin c serum after application of opexa gel. There is no harm in the same. But is better to apply the same after gap of around 1 hour. Though there is no basic interaction between the contents of the two products but it is better to avoid back to back application immediately. Let one product get absorbed first and then you apply the next product after an hour.

I hope this helps.
