Question: Can bile duct diease be cured or is it alwas cancer. I heard the akaline phosphase test is normally what they look for in cancer patients

Although your question is incomplete,I will answer whatever this present question states.
There are many bile duct diseases like obstruction by a bile duct stone which can be treated.
Alkaline phosphatase is an enzyme formed not only  in liver but also in other organs like intestines,bones etc also. If there is any obstruction to the bile duct then alkaline phosphatase will increase. This obstruction can be there because of bile duct stones also and not necessarily cancer only.
