Can The Novasure Ablative Uterine Procedure Lead To Constipation?

Question: I had the XXXXXXX sure ablasion done a week ago tomorrow. I am getting worried because I can not have a bowl movement no matter how many laxatives I take . I tool Lactalose this am and nothing. Should I be concerned?

Hello,
thanks for the query to HCM ,

There is actually no relation between the NOVASURE ablative uterine procedure and constipation at all. these are two different organ systems.
Ablation being done on the thickened uterine lining to prevent menorrhagia and hence no interference or injury to intestines or GIT.
It is suggested that you may increase your water intake to 12-15 glasses a day, which shall help the osmotic laxatives like lactulose to work better.
