Can Taking Norvasc Twice A Day Lead To Over Dosage?
Question: I was released fromStonyBrook Hospital last night picked up pres. of Norvask. 5mgs took one pill at 12 noon should only take one a day. without thinking I took another one at 11:pm. is that serious?

After going through the medical details provided by you i understand your concern and i would like to tell you that There is nothing serious to worry about only you need to be a little vigilant about your blood pressure and routine sense of well being. Norvasc contain Amlodipine which is a anti hypertensive and is quite safe.
As you have taken the second dose at 11 pm so most likely you will be about to go to bed for sleep. If so dont worry just relax and sleep. But if you are going to stay awake and will be doing some activity then you need to take care of few symptoms like dizziness, fatigue, uneasiness etc. if you experience any of these its advisable to go to bed and lie down down with your legs slightly elevated on a pillow and take a cup of hot coffee and a pinch of salt which will improve your blood pressure and you will be alright.
However its advisable to go to bed and sleep. You will be all fine.
