Brief answer....Both you and your husband need proper assessment.
Detailed answer...
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
I have read your query and understand your concern.
You have basically two questions which I would answer one by one.
Previous history of SLE....
Women with SLE have no decrease in their fertility except those who have been treated by cyclophosphamide. The outcome for both mother and child is best when SLE has been under control for atleast 6 months prior to pregnancy.
Getting 2nd child...
Although it should sound easy specially if you have had been pregnant earlier but in fact many a times it doesn't happen so.
Reason are many..
Your ovarian reserve falls as you grow older
You might have developed some medical issue in between like hypothyroidism etc.
Changed lifestyles might have interfered with the good earlier sperm analysis.
In nutshell you must consult an infertility specialist for a thorough assessment of both you and your husband.Once the basic cause is identified,a solution can be presented to you.
I hope it helps, however you are most welcome to revert to me for any further query.
Best of luck
Thanks
