Question: Can sleeping on your back cause miscarriage in second trimester? I slept only on my back and right side because I had a huge fibroid on the right side and thought if I slept on the left side it would crush the baby. Now I find out from people that this might have cut off blood supply to the baby and killed her...

Lying on the back or in the right lateral position can cause a decrease in blood supply to the baby but the decrease in supply is not so extreme so as to kill the baby.
Comparatively a better blood supply is noted to the baby if the mother lies in the left lateral position but it cannot be the only cause of the death of the baby in second trimester.
