Can Cremaffin And Lactifiber Powder Be Taken Together?
Question: Can i take lactifiber powder in water just after drinking cremaffin?

Hi, I am Dr Anshul Varshney , I have read your query in detail , I understand your concern.
Lactifiber powder should be avoided taking with Cremaffin as both are stool softeners and can cause excessive bloating as well as loose stools.
So, for today you should avoid taking Lactifiber.
From tomorrow, you may take Lactifiber alone as it clears the stool by forming the bulk as well as helps in softening the stools. If it alone works well for you, you may continue it alone.
I would also advise you following:
1. To get a thyroid function test done as hypothyroidism might be the cause behind the constipation that you are having.
2. To increase fiber in diet and to take fruits like Papaya which are bulk forming.

Hi. See Pegred is for absolute constipation and should be avoided as far as possible.
Lactifiber is bulk forming and hence is better. I personally prefer to prescribe it to my patients in dosage of 3 teaspoon full at night with half cup water.
