Question: Hi, I am 56 year old female having type2 diabetes. I am taking Glucoryl M1 tablet one in morning and half in evening. But my glucose is not under control. It is normally around 180 and doctors tell me to control my diabetes.
My question is, can I take Glucoryl M1 one tablet in morning and one tablet Glyciphage in evening to better control of my diabetes? Or any other better solution can be adopted? Please give advice.

Brief Answer:
Dear friend, Need to check HbA1c levels s..

Detailed Answer:
Dear Friend, And wish you a very happy new year 2015 ...

By the way you need to check your HbA1c levels for correct assessment of your glycemic control along with microalbuminuria done.

Lifestyle changes are most important in management of diabetes .. So,please see that you don't depend only on tablets ...divide your meal in to 3 to 4 small parts might be 2 snacks in between .. See that you are taking green leafy vegetables, fruits, oats, more or proteins .. Avoid carbohydrates completely.

The medications that you are taking now are good enough if you are committed for lifestyle changes. I would insist you maintain lifestyle change before considering second medication. Do exercise at least walk for one hour a day ... Please take care meet us with the reports try for 2 months u will see the difference.

GOD BLESS

Brief Answer:
Dear sir yes you can take the tablets mentioned.

Detailed Answer:
Dear Sir, greetings from HCM..

I understand your problems... your glucose levels are not well controlled as indicated by your HbA1c..
You have slight anemia nodular goiter which is not a problem..
As to your lungs, as suggested go for a CT SCAN..
You can right now start with Gucoryl M1 in the morning after breakfast and take Vidagliptin + Metformin 500 mg in night.. They are better than plain Metformin that is Glyciphage ..
You can meet your doctor and get the prescription for these meds..
Your anemia could be managed just firm good diet as I already told ..
Please give importance to your lifestyle changes ..
Good bless do ask me if you have any other doubts.
