Brief Answer:
lifelong thyroid hormone replacement and routine timely follow-ups to continue..

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX Welcome to HCM,
I've gone through your query and understand your concern,

From your description, it's most likely indicating towards a condition known as Hashimoto's thyroiditis (an autoimmune condition of the thyroid gland in presence/absence of hypothyroidism)..

Mainstay of treatment is by Thyroxine supplementation only (usually life-long), the primary target is to maintain the thyroid hormone levels within normal limits as it's the only way to control the disease progression..

So, please continue the Thyronorm once daily dosage and be under routine follow-ups of your Endocrinologist (requirement of this replacement therapy is usually life-long, dosage might vary from time to time based on the trend of Thyroid function tests along with clinical symptoms).. Don't worry, it's just once a day medication on empty stomach in morning, which mostly remains the same frequency only, to be continued without a miss..

Routine follow-up's vary from 3 to 6 months and later on even yearly, based on your body's overall response and trend of the Thyroid function tests.. you should also get Ultra Sonography of the thyroid gland for further check-up on the overall activity from time to time, please discuss this with your endocrinologist if not done already..

Let me know if there's any further queries, i'll be glad to clarify..

Take Care
Kind Regards
