Brief Answer:
ABOVE FEATURES NOT SUGGESTIVE OF
MENINGITIS.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for writing to us.
1) Herpes (specifically
herpes simplex virus type 2) virus can cause Meningitis or
Meningoencephalitis. However, above clinical features are NOT suggestive of meningitis and it occurs MOSTLY from recent infection.
2) These could be Peri-menopausal or Post-menopausal symptoms and it is quite COMMON at your age group. I suggest to undergo complete
hormonal profile like FSH, AMH, serum T3/ T4/ TSH, estrogen level along with blood Hb%, Differential Count and Blood sugar (PPBS). Blood pressure should be checked.
TREATMENT: Very low blood estrogen level is the PREDOMINANT cause of
Hot flash & other vasomotor symptoms. Therefore, Low Dose Conjugated Estrogen is usually given to treat this condition. It is one type of
Hormone Replacement Therapy. It is available as Vaginal cream/ Oral tab/ Patch etc.
Supportive treatment can be given according to test result. Kindly, consult with your gynecologist or health care provider for proper guidance.
In addition, you must take healthy diet with Vitamin Supplement, drink more water or juice to eliminate body toxin, avoid mental stress, apply
CALAMINE lotion for soothing effect, take cold water bath 2 to 3 times a day and need sound sleep.
Hope, it helps for your information. Kindly, close the discussion if you don't have any other query.
Wish your good health and take care yourself.
Regards,
Dr Soumen
