Yes, there are fungal diseases of tongue which are not uncommon condition. in most cases this is caused by candida albicans fungi. It is seen in people with diabetes, smokers, those who take certain medications,corticosteroids etc. It is treated by dentists or ENT doctors with certain antifungal mouth washing medications oral hygiene. you should avoid smoking, alcohol and steroids.
