Can Fibroids Regrow After The Surgery?

default
Posted on Wed, 12 Oct 2016
Question: Hi,

I had fibroids in my uterus and had got it operated via open surgery in Aug 2013. After the surgery, the doctor had suggested me to get married and conceive as soon as possible as the fibroids could grow again.
I am married now, and wanted to check if I can wait for some more time before I plan to conceive. Will there be any risks if I delay?

Brief Answer:
Dont delay pregnancy

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Fibroids are known to regrow. Pregnancy could also be difficult considering surgery done previously which might have lead to complications like adhesions in abdomen.

There are other problems to conceive which you might realize once you start trying for pregnancy.

Being at 28 years of age I suggest you should not delay pregnancy further and try soon.

Let me know if you need anymore help.
