Can Falling Of Laptop Battery On The Knee Cause Problem To Knee?

Question: I was using my laptop computer and I picked it up off my lap and the battery of the computer fell out and hit my left knee. I can bend the knee and there is no pain. Could the battery hitting my knee cause a problem Please advise.

the laptop battery might weigh around 250 gram and falling of battery on your knee from a height of around 3 feet is less likely to cause major damage to knee joint. Also if there was any damage, it would have presented with severe pain and swelling causing restriction of movement at knee joint, which is hallmark of impact injuries. Since there are no such signs and symptoms, you don't have to worry about it.
