Question: I have been coughing for 2 weeks and my blood pressure has been high. Can the cough cause this? I am on meds for my blood pressure but they don't seem to be working.

My blood pressure has been 143/98. I am on 50 mil of Atenolol. I'm thinking I may have bronchitis. Many people have it here in the NE with the change of seasons happening. Can that cause blood pressure to increase? My blood pressure is normally 120/83.

I would suggest that you should get yourself clinically examined by your doctor and if needed bronchidilator should be started for cough due to bronchitis.

3. Lipid profile.
4. Thyroid profile.
5. ECG.
6. Pulmonary Function Test(PFT)
