Brief Answer:
needs evaluation

Detailed Answer:
Painless blood in urine is never good news until all the necessary investigations have been done. It should not be blamed on calcium oxalate in chocolate as there is a risk of missing something more sinister. I suggest you have your mother get at least a few basic investigations which should include a specimen of urine for cytology, complete blood picture, a urine analysis for pus cells and proteins, an ultrasound examination of abdomen, a serum creatinine for assessment of kidney function. A CT Urogram plain and with contrast may be planned later depending on the results of these tests.
I hope I have been of help.
Regards.

Can macrobid and multaq be combined? What are symptoms of bladder cancer kidney. Cancer?

Brief Answer:
Meds look OK

Detailed Answer:
Hi again,
I doubt if the combination of drugs will have an issue. Multaq will carry additional toxicity when used along with drugs which induce an enzyme Cyp450a. Macrobid, which is Nitrofurantoin, is not one of these.
Bladder cancer can present as painless bleeding in urine or sometimes no bleeding but with a mass detected in bladder when screening with ultrasound for some other pathology. Early stages of aggressive tumours do cause increased frequency and urgency.
Kidney cancers rarely cause symptoms in early stages, and when they do, they can cause blood in urine, pain in abdomen usually on the side involved or fever or a combination of any of these. Most kidney tumours we operate on in recent times have to notice purely when an abdominal scan has been done for some other purpose.
I hope I have been able to help you.
Regards.
