Question: Dr. XXXXXXX Toyal I have another question Can a bulging disk from a wreak turn into a rupture? Also If I may ask Brusing also from the wreak 6 months ago still hurts is that normal? thank you very much YYYY@YYYY

The bulging disc from a wreck can deteriorate further and rupture if proper rest is not given for the healing to take place.
A bulging disc can also happen due to age related degenerative process. This can heal with proper rest, local steroid injections, improvisation of posture, regular physiotherapy and muscle relaxants. A surgical correction may be needed if it is associated with a nerve root compression.
The mild pain in the area of bruising after 6 months can be due to a scar tissue in the area or due to a decreased elasticity. You can do a hot compress and light massage with local analgesic ointment. This will help in improving the pain.
