Yes,urinary tract infections(including bladder infection) are well known to cause acute onset memory impairment as a part of Delirium.It usually is accompanied by impaired attention,perception and consciousness levels.Symptoms usually fluctuate in case of Delirium.
However,other causes like stroke should be ruled out,if it is actually sudden or abrupt onset.
