Can A Smear Of Sperm Dropped On The External Vagina Cause Pregnancy?
Question: Hi there,
Is it possible for someone to get pregnant with a smear of semen inside the vagina? If so, what are the chances/possibility of it?
The guy held back and ejaculated a drop outside and wiped it off with a single brush with his finger, lingered for a while against the clitoris, before inserting back in.
I suspect that the session occurred 3-5 days before ovulation.

I have reviewed your information fully. There is very little probability of the order of less than 1% that you could get pregnant from a smear of sperm drop on the external aspect of your vaginal. Should you brome pregnant, it would be a one in a thousand rare occurrence. Give than you were 3-5days away from ovulation, sperms would most likely not survive that long to fertilize an egg.
Just to make sure we stay safe, if this happened less than 72hours, i recommend you take an Emergency contraception. This just to permit you get a quiet mind and not because you really run a high risk of becoming pregnant.
If this is gone pass 3days already, I will recommend that you stay calm and monitor your periods. They should show up as usual and if not, do a rapid pregnancy test to see what could be happening.
In addition to avoiding unwanted/unplanned pregnancy, protection during intercourse protects against sexually transmitted infections. Always endeavor to protect yourself during intercourse.
In all, the probability is very low and I will be surprised should you brome pregnant.

Thanks for the reply. Just to clarify the nature of the event, the guy, upon wiping (a singular whip with his thumb) off the semen, brushed his penis against the external vagina for about say, 10-15 seconds, before penetrating back in. Will this lead to an increased likelihood of pregnancy? Ie. there were still remnants of semen that was not whip off from the non-thorough approach and from the smearing on the external vagina?
I have done a little bit of research online and seen a couple of answers whereby cervix mucus can path the way for sperms during the fertile phase. I presume, that due to the lack of seminal fluid after the wiping and the smearing, that any slight semen left on the penis on the thereafter penetration wouldn't be enough to assist the sperms in neutralizing the acidity of the vaginal canal, thus making the internal conditions hostile for the little bits of sperm cells?
