Question: If I am allergic to cephalicin/ Keflex am I allergic to any components in Bactoban/Mupirocin?

Thanks for posting in HCM.
Cefalicin is an antibiotic of cephalosporin group and mupirocin is totally different group and a newer one which has a different mechanism of action.
You can safely use mupirocin without fear of any allergic reaction.
If you are allergic to cefacilin then in future also stay away from any antibiotics which starts with words 'cefa'. Because they all belong to cephalosporin group with different classes and strengths.
But you can use mupirocin, nothing to worry about it. It's better to take a test dose before taking any antibiotic.
