Brief Answer:
please consult doctor for coumadin side effects

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX,

One dose of Xanax does not likely to cause nosebleed at all. Rather it causes nasal congestion and that is against bleeding. Yes it can cause headache but it should be relived within 24 hours.
You are on coumadin (warfarin) since long. Bleeding is a serious side effect of this drug. Nose bleeding is likely side effect of the same. And other symptoms like headache and respiratory problem may be due to side effects by internal bleeding.

You need to go to your treating doctor for PT- international normalized ratio (INR) testing and if necessary to adjust dose of coumadin.

Hope I have answered your query, I will be happy to help further.

Brief Answer:
cause for nose bleed should be evaluated

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for clarification and sorry for delayed response.

Even though INR is low there is need of evaluation for nosebleed.

Blood pressure check-up, chest x-ray, ekg, complete blood count and blood coagulation factors reports are to be done with INR for detail evaluation and prevention of any further bleeding.

No possibility that xanax can cause such problem. Though some patients have mentioned such complaint, no authentic data about such side effect of Xanax are there.

Shortness of breath can be due to anxiety but anxiety cannot cause nosebleed.

Feel free to discuss further.
