Brief Answer:
STD can transmitted through protected vaginal sex as well as oral sex

Detailed Answer:
hello.thank you for writing to us

I am dr.kakkar(dermatologist and venereology). I have gone through your query and i have noted your concern.

Protected vaginal sex does not offer complete protection against STDs like genital herpes, hpv(genital warts) and syphilis though it is adequate agaunst transmission of hiv, gonorrhea and chlamydia. Similarly unprotected oral sex can transmit STDs like oro labial herpes, throat gonorrhea and chlamydia and syphilis if the sexual partner was infected.

Brief Answer:
STD screening

Detailed Answer:
hi.

i suggest complete STD screening at 4 weeks. That is the only way to be sure. In the mean time if you develop any signs or symptoms like ulcers/sores or warts/growths you must present yourself to a venereologist for examination.
