Brief Answer:
Alcohol induced gastritis, LFT, ultrasound abdomen

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Welcome
Regular intake of alcohol causes gastritis which is responsible for your burning and gas problem. It will reduce as you reduce the consumption of alcohol.

To address this problem I would suggest you to take capsule omeprazole 20 mg once daily , before breakfast for a week. Along with it o would also suggest you to avoid spicy and oily food for few days till the symptoms are resolved. Avoid or reduce the intake of meat, dairy products, and add more fiber to your diet. Eat lots of salads, vegetables, fresh fruits. Avoid fried and oily food.
Avoid excess consumption of tea/ coffee/ hydrogenated drinks. Avoid smoking and alcohol ( very important)
Eat frequent small meals instead of heavy ones and do not starve. Take plenty of water.

As you have said that you drink frequently, it is important to know the status of the liver before starting liv 52. So I would suggest you to go for liver function test and ultrasound abdomen. Based on the report we can decide on the management.

But I would not suggest you to take liv 52 and continue drinking. You have reduce and slowly stop the consumption of alcohol. Continue drinking will not help or reduce the chances of liver injury even if you take liv 52
Hope this helps
Take care

Brief Answer:
Stop alcohol consumption

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Good to hear from you.

Alcohol need to be stopped, as you already have fatty liver, continuing alcohol may progress to cirrhosis, which is not at all good. And as said earlier, Liv 52 with continuation of alcohol is not advised.

Hope this helps
