default
Posted on Mon, 28 Sep 2015
Question: My daughter is 14 months old and has fever, last reading was abt 101 c and we are administering ibugesic plus. But what she is really suffering from is severe cold and congestion due to which he nose is blocked and finds it difficult to breathe. We gave her otrivin and nasomist. But will ibugesic plus also take care of this congestion? Is there anything else that we should give with ibugesic plus?

Brief Answer:
anticold needed

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for the query.
You should give him syrup s-mucolite (for cough ) and syp. Sinarest-AF (for congestion and cold).
Dose depends on weight of the child.
Continue nasomist nasal drops or otrivin if there is nose blocks.
Nebulisation with asthalin and normal saline also help to relive congestion.
For fever you can continue with ibugesic-plus.
If there is no response in 2 to 3 days you muat visit a doctor.
Antibiotics like amoxyclav may be needed if there is bacterial infection (after consulting a doctor.).
Hope I helped you.
