Brief Answer:
INH use does not cause or contribute to Sleep Apnea

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for asking HealthcareMagic,

I have gone through your concern.

According to the literature, so far there is no data to show if long term use of INH contributes or aggravates sleep apnea directly.

Long-term treatment with INH has some other side effects related mainly to the liver (hepatotoxicity) and kidneys less.

Other side effects might be anorexia, nausea, vomiting, dark urine, yellow skin or eyes, fever, chronic fatigue, abdominal tenderness especially right upper quadrant discomfort, skin rash, peripheral neuropathy and decrease in visual acuity.

The above situations worsen the general condition of the patient with Sleep Apnea.

In simple words even if a patient is misdiagnosed with TB and has been on INH treatment for years, this does not cause Sleep Apnea but if the patient has already Sleep Apnea, the side effects of INH use by itself may contribute to worsening of Sleep Apnea

However, I can not understand the reason of the treatment with INH for so long time even if TB would be misdiagnosed.

Please discuss all of the above with your doctor.

Take care
