After 8 weeks of bypass surgery, the heart has usually recovered enough to indulge in a sexual activity. But the medications like nitrates and anti hypertensives which are usually prescribed after the surgery should be carefully used with the medications like Viagra.
If there is any intermittent chest pain or shortness of breath then taking Viagra is not advisable. You must consult your cardiologist regarding this to avoid any drug interactions.
