Hello,

Thanks for posting your query.

If you have always had regular 28-30 day cycles, the present cycle disturbance warrants further investigation.

If you were sexually active during February, the delay in the period could mean a pregnancy and this was not excluded. Perhaps you did not suspect any pregnancy during that period. You were possibly not pregnant in March also as you had a withdrawal bleed induced by hormones.

The fact that you had a normal period in April and May, though delayed, suggests that you are perhaps experiencing some amount of hormonal imbalance. Based on all these incidents, you do not appear to be pregnant. Yet, to be fool-proof, I would ask you to see a specialist for a proper evaluation along with a trans-vaginal sonogram. This will clear the issue.

Please maintain a healthy weight and a healthy diet. This helps to maintain regular cycles.

Hope I have answered your query. Please feel free to contact for further clarifications. I will be happy to help.

on 20 march my bf was on me. he was wearing nothing and i was wearing panty and a light jeans. i tried to insert over my jeans into my vagina. he had some precum on it. is there any chance of being pregnant with my jeans on. there was no direct contact of genitals. the contact was over my jeans and his penis. can a sperm pass through jeans.

my periods were not very much regular before also. some time it delayed by 10 days. on 13 feb i had my last period.in march i haven't got my periods. as i hadn't got my periods till 29 march and i had some physical contact with my bf that i have explained above.i was worried about pregnancy. so i met a gynecologist but not told her about sex.i have told her about delay in periods only. she gave me 3 tablets of progesterone and estrogen. then after 7 days i got withdrawal bleeding.
in the next month my periods got delayed by 8 days. and i got period without any medicine this time. i want to know even after getting periods this month... is there any chance of pregnancy. i had some vomiting type feeling yesterday night and morning but i didn't vomit. now i m feeling fine.

i want to know can i became pregnant with my jeans on . can sperm pass through jeans and reach my uterus.

and i had got withdrawal bleeding on 2nd April with medicine and periods on 11th may..... can i say that i am totally safe now.

is there any reason to worry... how can i get periods if i m pregnanat...if i get periods in next moth also then i will be totally safe or not.

Brief Answer:
Pregnancy is not possible.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing back.

In the manner described, you cannot become pregnant as sperms cannot pass through such thick clothing. Moreover, you have had two cycles after that incident which is enough evidence that you are safe. Also, if you are pregnant, you will not receive any withdrawal bleeding with hormones and the fact that you had one is again a proof that you did not conceive.

I would suggest using some regular contraception that helps to keep you safe; oral pills can also help to regulate your cycles. Please think about that.

So, I think you are well convinced that you are safe. Just relax and eat well.

Hope your doubt has been answered. Please contact if you need any more information. I will be ready to help.

thank you mam for ur answer... but i have seen somewhere written that some women have periods even during pregnancy. sometimes it is not detected in urine test up to 6 months. is it true.? my main tension is due to this only. although i had two cycles after that incident( one is withdrawal bleeding and other without medicine). but from the day i have seen this somewhere written by someone on internet i started worrying again. i have done home pregnancy test after 1 and half month of that incident. it came negative. but i m worried that even if everything is fine now, it may possible that pregnancy will be detected in future.then i would not be able to do anything. please clarify my doubt.

Brief Answer:
Can happen only in anomalies.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for writing again.

It is seen during pregnancy that regular periods do occur, but, this is seen in situations where there is an uterine anomaly like bicornuate uterus. This can be clarified if you get a trans-vaginal sonogram.

Apart from this, no apparent reason is there to worry about pregnancy. Everything should be sorted out with the sonogram.

Hope I have clarified your doubt. Please contact if you need any more information. I will be ready to help.

2)my periods delayed by 20 days.
3) then withdrawal bleeding with progesterone and estrogen.
4)periods again in next month.
5) done urine pregnancy test after 45 days of sex using preganews it came negative.

are urine pregnancy test are not reliable even after 45 days of sex.

Brief Answer:
You cannot be pregnant.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your query.

According to my opinion, you cannot get pregnant with the manner in which sexual encounter occurred. In addition, you had a period due to withdrawal after that and also another period naturally; this rules out any possibility of pregnancy. Withdrawal bleeding cannot occur if pregnancy has occurred.

The cause of your delayed cycle could be due to stress developed due to the fear of getting pregnant. Please remember, any stressful situation disturbs the hormonal balance of the body and affects the menstrual cycles.

Urine pregnancy test six weeks after intercourse is reliable when performed properly. If you still suspect pregnancy even after this, please get a trans-vaginal sonogram to relieve you from this stress once and for all. In future whenever you want to have sexual intercourse, please take proper precautions or go for regular use of low dose pills.

Hope you are satisfied with the explanation and relaxed. Do contact if you need any more information. I will be available to help.

regards,
Shanti.V.
