Can HIV Be Contracted Through Unprotected Oral Sex?
Brief Answer:
Low risk
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concerns. For transmission of HIV you need transfer of bodily fluids to occur. An oral sex does not involves a very low risk of HIV transmission, but the virus can very rarely be passed on this way. Although not likely, if you need confirmation that you have not been infected you would need to get tested. If the test gives negative results 120 days or more after the exposure you can rest assured that you are negative for HIV.
Let me know if I could help further.
Regards

Thanks for your reply doctor, I'm relaxed. But I never had any intercourse with her also I heard receiving oral is considered as very low to zero risk (studied in Internet). As hiv virus only spread through fluid I side the body (as you correctly mentioned) but oral is outside the body. Outside the body hiv will not withstand (these are I studied in various topics in Internet), sorry if in speaking or asking too much. I'm in mind pressure, pls help.
Brief Answer:
Why go into unnecessary tensions
Detailed Answer:
I understand. However, you can clearly see that such high risk activities can put you in unnecessary mental strain irrespective of the risk of sexually transmitted diseases. Perhaps it is not worth the anxiety it involves and therefore it might be a good idea to avoid such activities. Of course, it is just a suggestion which you are not bound to comply with.

So doctor in my scenario is there a possibility of STI or STD?
Brief Answer:
Getting tested will clear your worries
Detailed Answer:
You have a sexual contact. Even though the probability is low, it is not zero. So, it would be reasonable to get tested. Unless that is done you can never be sure.
