Question: Hi,

Last week I started noticing a discharge on my penis - it was clear. This happened after about 2/3 weeks after I had sex with a girl, the condom broke during intercourse but I quickly noticed and withdrew my penis without any thrusting from that point on. I then had an HIV test done after two weeks and I came out negative.

However, after noticing the discharge, I went to the local clinic and was given an injection plus an instant drug:
azithromycin I believe it was. The discharge appeared to have gone away after 5 days but came back 2 days after finishing medication. I noticed some white, clumpy discharge below my foreskin (i'm uncircumcised) so I went to a different doctor thinking I might have balanitis.

He prescribed Doxycycline which I have been taking twice a day for 5 days now. There hasn't been a change yet, after the discharge having disappeared - it looks like it's coming back and i feel a slight burn towards the tip of my penis. Not when urinating, just when I'm sitting sometimes.

I'm wondering what this may mean?

When you say use of multiple antibiotics, what exactly do you mean? Should I wait to get on a new course of medicine after the 7 days elapse?

Secondly, is a gram stain microscopy something I can walk in and just ask for or is it prescribed? Over the past few days I haven't been having a discharge as such, but sometime during the day it comes out - in a very small quantity.

Lastly, i'm interested to know what exactly about my description matches with what you know about your suspicion. It's not in any way to doubt what you have told me but it would help me know as well to give my doctor a proper breakdown of everything.
