Can HIV Be Contracted Through Protected Sexual Intercourse?

default
Posted on Thu, 23 Apr 2015
Question: Sir,
about 10 days back I had protected sex at a massage parlor. She did take my penis in her mouth for some time and then I had protected sex. After 2 hours, I felt mild itching on my penis and specially on foreskin. Then I washed it with savlon. Thereafter the itching goes and comes specially more on foreskin and at times on penis. I washed it with saline water too. As it is almost 10 days I am worried. What I need to do ?

I can understand your concern for the possibility of any of STDs after the incidence. In view to help you best I request you to kindly let me know if you have any cuts or sores on your penile skin.

Also let me know did you washed your penile skin directly with savlon or after diluting with water.

Do you see any eruptions or discharge from the penile skin.

Brief Answer:
Mild itching just two hours after sex is not related to any of the STDs.

Detailed Answer:
Hello Sir,

Welcome back to the forum and thanks for your follow up with details.

I can understand your concern for the possibility of various STDs after unprotected oral sex. I can understand your level of stress after the incidence.

First and foremost to reassure you that the symptoms of mild itching just two hours after sex is not related to any of the STDs. As you also have given the history that you don't have any cuts or sores over the penile area so it makes almost negligible possibility of acquiring any of the STDs.

For the most important of all HIV is not generally acquired by oral sex. Though other of the minor STDs like gonorrhoea, chlamydia, trichomonia, herpes and syphilis can get contacted by oral sex. In these STDs too we find either some discharge or blisters or atleast deep redness or sores or swelling over the penile area.

Application of savlon (even in diluted form) is not recommended over penile area. It can cause burn as well as deep irritation over the skin. So I suggest you to not to use such kind of things on penile skin.

Overall I reassure you that presently you don't seem to have any symptoms related to STDs. So relax and don't worry.

I hope this information will relax your mind and will help you. I will be glad to answer any further queries.

With regards,
