Brief Answer:
UTI + CERVICITIS

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query to hcm,
The drugs prescribed are for following indication:-
1. gramix= cefexime 200mg= antibiotic for 7 days likely for UTI and bacterial infection.
2. mogyl = metronidazole 1000mg likely twice a day = for gram negative and anaerobic infection for UTI and cervical infection.
3. Itratime= antifungal itraconazole for fungal infection.
4. Azocin 500mg = azithromycin= antibiotic for likely chlamydia infection. Bifilac= probiotic which keeps the gut flora in control which may get disturbed due to antibiotics.
Ideally azithromycin can be avoided if there is no chlamydia in urine culture report , rest of the medications should be taken.
I would request you to furnish your pap smear and urine culture reports for purview.
Regards

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the reports.

The pap smear report shows bacterial vaginosis and the urine report shows urinary tract infection with increased pus cells. You may omit azithromycin from your prescription as grammar 200mg twice a day for next 7 days along with mogul shall take care of both infections.

Avoid sex during this antibiotic course as bacterial vaginosis can be transferred to your partner, so try avoiding till repeat culture is negative. Please increase your water intake to 12-15 glasses of water i.e 4-5 litres a day to allow early flushing out of urine infection. Rest itraconazole and bifocal should be continued as prescribed.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Well, this bleeding may be your menses. When was your last menses?
Also the IUD which you had , was it a hormonal progesterone IUD, like MIRENA? or it was just plain copper IUD?
If it was MIRENA , then if its not your due menses then its likely the progesterone withdrawal bleed that you are experiencing now.
Please let me know.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Well if its not MIRENA and also not your due menstrual date then the bleeding is likely to be from cervical erosions , which came out as infection on pap smear. it would be darkish brown, scanty and mixed with mucoid discharge. Is it?
you just need to wait and watch the flow for next 24 hrs.
when was your last menses?

Detailed Answer:
Okay , in that case this may even be an ovulation bleed on day 18 ( slightly delayed due to infection ) but possible. This should be generally accompanied with lower abdominal cramps and often nausea as well. XXXXXXX you having these symptoms then we can take it as ovulation time bleed as well. NEVERTHELESS THIS SHOULD SUBSIDE IN NEXT 2-3 DAYS AND THE FLOW SHALL BE SCANTY. just ensure that you practice contraception during this cycle diligently.
If its cervical erosions spotting then antibiotics shall take care of it in next 24 hrs itself, else if continued then its ovulation bleed.
