Can Fexaril Be Taken With A Topical Cream?

default
Posted on Wed, 4 Jun 2014
Question: I was given a topical compounded cream that has lidocaine 2mg flexaril 2mg baclofen 2mg ketaprophen 10 mg and ketarolec 5mg. I had one Aleve 4 plus hours ago and was going to take a 10mg flexaril in about 3 hours. Is that ok? The topical is being used on my c5 to c7 area.

Brief Answer:
Yes you can take these.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The topical cream that you have been given has a local soothing effect only. It is not absorbed systemically. You can take your pain killer and muscle relaxant as your orthopedician has advised there is no need to worry.
I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.
Wishing you good health.
Regards.
