doctor
Answered by Dr. Deepti Verma (36 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
Cor 3 is safe in early pregnancy

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Cor 3 tablet contains L-methylfolate, Methylcobalamin and Pyridoxine. All these are FDA category A drugs which means adequate and well-controlled human studies have failed to demonstrate a risk to the fetus in the first trimester of pregnancy (and there is no evidence of risk in later trimesters).
It is a multivitamin supplement and folic acid is also recommended in preconceptional and in first trimester of pregnancy as it is known to reduce the risk of congenital anomalies in the fetus.
It is completely safe for the fetus and for you also, however you can also take only folic acid tablet which do not contains other vitamins.
Hope you found the answer helpful. Please do get back for further queries.
Wishing you good health.

Brief Answer:
continuation of pregnancy advised

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX, thanks for responding. Ideal period to conceive after an abortion is 6 months. However, since you have a bad obstetric history and one fallopian tube removed, I would suggest you to continue this pregnancy. I would like to know whether you have taken folic acid tablets in preconceptional period or not?
Hope you found the answer helpful. Please do get back with the information, if feasible.
Wishing you good health.

Brief Answer:
folic acid to be started

Hi XXXX, your gestation age by last menstrual period is 5 weeks today. You should start having folic acid5 mg a day daily from today till at least 12 weeks of pregnancy.
Fetal structures do form from 4 weeks to 18 weeks of pregnancy and hence folic acid is recommended in this period.
I would like to have the information whether you took cor3 tablet in preconceptional period??.

My hba1c level was 7.2 last two months back but was controlling my sugar level I was on mixtard 30 insulin and never had oral consumption
doctor
Answered by Dr. Deepti Verma (26 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
blood sugar monitoring

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX, since you have diabetes before pregnancy, then it is known as overt diabetes mellitus and not gestational diabetes. You should repeat your HbA1c levels to assess the blood sugar control.
Moreover, you should do daily blood sugar monitoring- fasting, premeals and 2 hours post meals to assess the blood sugar control.
It is very important to keep the blood sugar levels within normal range in pregnancy, as deranged sugar levels can lead to abortion, congenital anomalies in the fetus, growth disturbances in fetus and sudden intrauterine death of fetus.
You should also get a nuchal translucency ultrasound at 11-13 weeks of pregnancy and a detailed anomaly ultrasound at18-20 weeks of pregnancy to rule out any congenital anomalies in the fetus.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Please do get back for further queries.
Wishing you good health.

I have pain can say cramps in my right and left side of abdominal and have unbearable pain in my back and chest can I go for scanning wanted to say that I have habit to sleep on my tummy side
doctor
Answered by Dr. Deepti Verma (41 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
severe pain is worrisome

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX, cramps in lower abdomen are common in early pregnancy. However, unbearable pain in the chest and back is not related to pregnancy.
Pain in the chest can be due to gastric reflux or can be due to some cardiac pathology, which should be diagnosed and treated in time to prevent complications.
Pain in back can be due to pregnancy, but it is usually dull aching and not severe.
If you are having pain in arm or jaw also, then you should consult a doctor immediately to rule out any cardiac pathology.
You can get your ultrasound done, but it is usually preferred after 6 weeks of pregnancy.
Sleeping on tummy do not cause such symptoms.

Wishing you good health.
