Question: HI IS IT SAFE TO BE TAKING COMTAN ALONG WITH IMG OF AXILECT DAILY FOR PARKINSON I TAKE 3SINEMET ALOG WITH ICOMTAN 4 TIMES ADAY AT MYB 10 AM DOSAGE I ALSO TAKE 1MG OF AZILECT AS WELL ARE THEY SAFE TO TAKE TOGETHR\ER I AM JUST BEGINNING TO READ ABOUY MY DRUGS AND THEIR BENEFITS XXXX

Brief Answer: These are routinely used for management Detailed Answer: Hi dear.Thanks for giving me an opportunity to address your query. The drugs mentioned above are the current standard of care for treatment of parkinson's disease(PD).However I were to closely monitor your blood pressures since Sinemet and Azilect can increase them. I were to advise to avoid foods rich in tyramine for example - Aged cheeses,Cured meats, Fermented cabbage,Soy sauce, fish sauce,Yeast-extract spreads,Broad bean pods (fava beans) since they can shoot your BP high while on medication. Comtan can be safely taken along with the rest. Hope this answers your.All the best.
