Brief Answer:
Yes can be used

Detailed Answer:
Hello thanks for asking from HCM

Benadryl is diphenhydramine and it is a OTC drug for allergy and a number of other conditions. Ambien is zolpidem, used for early insomnias.

Taking both drugs together may result in significant sedation because both drugs are sedating. So proper dose adjustments should be done while taking these drugs together.

You have taken 20 mg of Zolpidem and 75 mg of Benadryl and these doses can cause significant sedation, but still you are awake. As per my opinion you should not increase the doses further. Wait for some time and you will sleep.

Don't try to sleep, just try to ignore that you are not getting sleep, in some time you should get sleep with these doses.

Still if problem persist call your psychiatrist and ask for some other drug for sleep. Zolpidem is used for early insomnias. Some time if a patient fails to sleep with this drug short term use of benzodiazepines like clonazepam, lorazepam is advised. Consult your psychiatrist for prescription.

Now coming to your question-

Yes benadryl and ambien can be used together but dose adjustments should be done.

Thanks, hope this helps you.

If you have more doubts then you can ask again.
