Dear XXXXXXX

there can be only 2 possibilities for burning pain in this regard
1. gastritis/hyperacidity/ulcer disease
2. acid reflux disease

Treatment is decided by chronicity of case. A gastroscopy may be needed to look at the exact problem severity inside stomach. Often doctors start long term PPI drugs for such conditions. Emergency hyperacid situations are usually managed with double dose antacid syrups.

other uncommon causes of pain of such types can be:
1. related to chest infection
2. related to heart disease if any history of diabetes

I hope this addresses your concern. let me know if you wish to know more details.

thanks
