Back And Testicle Pain, Redness In Eyes. Want Long-term Homeopathic Solution
Question: Dear Doc,

In month of Mar-12, i felt extreme pain in my testicles, which was followed by fever and redness in eyes. The pain surfaced again in May-12, when i went to see an urologist. He diagonosed (via physical verification) as Epididymitis, and i took the course (Zanocin, Dolo, Hetrazan for 21 days), but pain was still there. He asked me to continue Zanocin - anti biotic for 15 days more days and get scrotum doppler (ultrasound) done. I took the medicine for 30 days, and when pain did not subside, I went for scrotum doppler test. The result showed Bilateral Varicocele (Left >> RIght), other things remaining healthy. The urologist then asked me for Aerobic Culture & Sensitivity / Semen Culture, and it showed no growth i.e. normal. He said you have no problem; just take Dolo - paracetamol when you feel pain. But this is not the permanent remedy. Pain is still there (though reduced); how long should i take paracetamol?
Background: I have been masturbating for 10 years now. May be that can be a cause. Earlier in college i sometimes went to gym, but heavy weight was not a regular feature.
I am having back pain especially on the right side. I am having a desktop sitting job for 3 and half years now; and have been workoholic till recent times.
Present: The pain is less in morning and when day passes, sitting by computer it gets increased (one testicle to other or may be both). I am taking Dolo / Combiflam when there is pain. I have redness in my eyes still and putting eye coolant for a month now.
Solution: Surgery is no way (Doctor also mentioned no need). I am looking forward to homeopathy for long term solution.
I have read the following on one of the forums, and am thinking to go for solution No. 1, 2 and 3. Is it alright?
1. Hamamelis, potency 3, 3 globules to be taken 3 hourly in a tea spoon of distilled/boiled drinking-water. Keep in mouth for a while before swallowing.
2. Support the testes to avoid pull on the chord. It is a pouch for testes, supported by a ribbon round the waist. It is available with phamacy.
3. Whenever convenient, apply compress of a lotion containing 1 dram of Hamamelis Q(mother tincture) in 1 pint of distilled/boiled drinking-water.
4. Fluoric Acid, potency 3, 2 drops to be taken 4 hourly in a table spoon of water.
I have tried it and it works.
If not, then what is treatment in homeopath for my particular case. Any further precaution?

Thanks for the query.
Only pain killers would not relieve your symptoms for long. Allopathic treatment of varicocele involves surgery and even the surgeon won't be sure which cases would be helped. Homeopathy offers an economical and promising treatment for varicocele.
Excessive Masturbation can be a cause for Varicocele. Avoid excessive masturbation; sexual intercourse instead is a good option, again not excessively.
Till your varicocele is not leading to infertility, there is not much to worry about. You should wear a T-bandage or a supporter to avoid your scrotum from hanging loose. Avoid tight clothes and wear cotton trousers preferably. Avoid Heavy exercise.
Along with these precautions I am suggesting you some medicines:
- Hammemilis 1M- 2 drops in half cup water daily once daily
- Fluoric Acid 30- 6 pills three times a day
- Spongia Q- 4 drops in Half cup water three times a day
- Hammemilis Q-Apply on the painful area twice daily
- Magnifera indica Q-4 drops in Half cup water.
These medicines would start reliving your symptoms and if continued for good time will cure the problem.

1 It is not necessary that you start all the medicine from very first day but start taking all as soon as possible.
Until you are able to source the medication, start with Hammemelis 3x. But this drug is not that effective and I would suggest that you try and find Hammemelis Q
2. Once the medication starts working, you’d realize the change. The time frame would depend on the progress you make. Depending upon the symptoms we may have to change the medication.
3 You can take any food. But while taking the medicine, your mouth should be clean. If your smoke or chew something, avoid doing that 1 hour before and after taking the medication.
4 Wearing Frenchie is a good alternative but make it sure you are comfortable with it. T bandages are specially made for these purpose. It also depend on the size of varicocele. If size is enlarged enough then i advice you to wear T bandage and if size is not very big then frenchie is good for you.
5 Wearing shirt and trouser is good rather than wearing tight clothes. So wear comfortable cloth only. Sometimes tight clothing can cause pain

Feeling like a worm in the scrotum is a common feeling during varicocele and nothing to worry about. Some time constipation is noticed in varicocele. For that, isabgol is a good medicine that I have prescribed.

Fluroic Acid 30 dilution is no problem at all.You can carry it out with the same results.2-3 drops in half cup water will very well serve the purpose.You can start with the medicines you have got.
