Are Withdrawal Symptoms Of Lorazepam Harmful?

default
Posted on Mon, 12 Oct 2015
Question: I am now 5 days off of Lorazepam of 3mg per day per doctors orders. I have been on it for roughly 3 months although there were times I wasn't on it for a week at a time. Am I going to die from withdrawals? I made the mistake of googling it and now I'm terrified, but I do not want to take it again.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome to Health Care Magic.

Thanks for writing.

I am Dr.Muhammad Ahmad. I have read your question completely, i understand your concern and will try to help you in best way possible.

You were not on a very high dose of lorazipam and the period of 3 months is not long enough to caugh strong wothdrawl symptoms. Dose and usage period are less likely to cause any withdrawl symptoms.

You haven't mentioned any withdrawl symptoms you faced in these 5 days you are off the drugs.
In my opinion it is less likely that you may face severe withdrawl symptoms yes there can be minor but they wont be stop enough to kill you or hurt you big time so don't panic and be sure that everything would stay fine.

I hope this answered your question, a
