Question: Hi. I have white marks on the side of the tongue. My teeths are always touching my tongue on that side.

I have read your query and gone through image you have attached . As fas as I have observed you have Apthous ulcer on lateral border of tongue . Ulcer can be due to Vitamin or folic acid deficiency , sharp cusps of posterior teeth , stress, Hormonal influences , Improper sleep.
For this I will suggest you few measures :
- Maintain proper oral hygiene .
- Apply Ointment on tongue containing lignocaine and choline salicylate 3 to 4 times a day .
- Take medicine containing Vitamin B12 supplements with Metronidazole by consulting with local doctor .
- Consult oral surgeon for grinding of sharp cusps of posterior teeth if present .
-Avoid hot and spicy food .
-Dont take stress .
Follow these measures if symptoms persists then consult oral surgeon for clinical examination and evaluation .
