Brief Answer:
Elevated eosinophils is secondary to skin lesion most probably.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query on HealthcareMagic.

Eosinophils are raised due various reasons like allergy, parasitic infection, drugs and neoplasms.
A history of skin lesion along with high eosinophils raises the possibility of allergic reaction.
Do you have a history of allergy in the past? If yes, then this can be the possible cause f raised eosinophils.
The black spots on skin need to be examined to make a definitive diagnosis.
Skin lesions accompanied by falling of hair are observed in fungal infection, autoimmune diseases etc.
It would be more helpful if you could post the image of the black lesions.
However, elevated eosinophils are not causing these symptoms.
Raised eosinophils are actually secondary to skin lesion probably.

Thanks

Thanks for reply. Please note my skin biopsies report for black spots comments the overall features are suggestive of morphoea. Also ESR-1hr (Westergreen method) is 8 against range of 1-7. My Anti nuclear antibody report interpretation: Negative. Put up for your further analysis. Please analyse and guide. Regards, XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
Morphea is self limiting, if not medical treatment is required.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to HCM,
Morphea is a skin condition characterized by excessive deposition of collagen in subcutaneous tissue.
Morphea is often associated with elevated eosinophils and a positive ANA test.
However, ANA in your case is negative, however, that does not change the diagnosis.
ESR is mildly elevated and this is expected in morphea.
Morphea is a self limiting disease but the marks may remain for longer period of time.
Treatment consists of anti-inflammatory drugs, light therapy and vitamin D congener.
Please consult your dermatologist for prescription of mediation.

Thanks and take care
