Are Dryness And Pain In Throat Symptoms Of Cold Or Allergy?
Question: Last saturday night i took half a pill of mdma at a nightclub, i had a sore throat before but thought nothing of it as it wasnt painful. Now my throat is dry and very painful and i cough up alot of flem. Painkillers do not help at all? Is this a minor cold or allergic reaction.

You must have taken alcohol or possibly chilled beer with the drug. After taking the combination of beer and drug many people develop the sore throat. When you have not taken any antibiotics, it has increased and started causing pain. It may have reached to tonsils.
I here suggest you not to worry but take antibiotics like tablet levofloxacin 500 mg once a day for 5 days and visit GP. You need throat examination so that it can be diagnosed properly and treated.
It is not a allergic reaction. It seems to be more than just a cold, a sore throat [throat infection] which can be seasonal or related to food. It will disappear with drugs.
