Hello,
Thanks for the query.
I have read your query and understand your concern regarding HIV.
First of all your symptoms of sore throat can occur because of viral infection and various other illnesses and hence one should not form any opinion about the presence of HIV just on the basis of these symptoms.
The best way is to get tested for HIV.
A negative HIV COMBO test at 8 weeks is a very good indication that you are HIV negative and is 99.9% surety.
Official guidelines, however, still recommend a retesting at 12 weeks to be completely conclusive and 100% surety.
So get yourself tested again at 12 weeks and then forget the matter as you are again going to come clean on this issue.
I hope it helps, however you are most welcome to revert to me for any further query.
Best of luck
Thanks
