Abdominal Pain When Exercising. Had Partial Hysterectomy And Bladder Suspension

default
Posted on Fri, 12 Apr 2013
Question: I recently started a work out regimen, and am a 41 yr old female. Now when I do a sit up or use my abdomen, I get a quick, stabbing pain in my lower right abdomen (beneath my belly button). Almost feels like I am tearing something. I have had a partial hysterectomy and bladder suspension. Sit ups really trigger the pain.

Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
I am Dr.Ratnakar Kini and I am pleased to answer your query.

Since sit ups trigger pain, the pain is due to muscle pull/sprain.
Rest and painkillers would provide relief.
It has got nothing to do with hysterectomy or bladder suspension.

I hope that answers your question.
