Is Contraction Of Rabies Infection Possible Through Dog Sniffing?
Question: A street dog sniffed at my foot 2 years ago. I immediately washed my foot with running water. Now I am fearing I may be affected with rabies. If I take rabies vaccination now, will it be any use to me?

Rabies is a lethal disease but it does not spread by mere sniffing. Had you contracted rabies, you would have serious implications by now. The very fact that you are still healthy indicates that you need no vaccination for rabies as you have not contracted it. If you casually want to take injections (without any valid reason), its a different reason and I would not object to it. But it would not really help.
