64 Year Old. Taking Medicine For BP. What Test Should Be Done To Check Current Body Status?

Question: Dear Doc....
My mom is age 64. Kindly advise as to what investigation
she should undergo to check her current body status...
She takes medicine only for BP. I mean something like cancer screening
etc, and to know if she is free from any possible sickness in the future.

There are many health packages offered by corporate hospitals which contain investigations to screen for health problems and to know her current status of her body functions.

After doing all the investigations, the reports and results to be interpreted by a Physician and Gynecologist.

The investigations required include the following :

1.Hemogram including peripheral smear and ESR to know anemia and any blood
count abnormalities.

2.Blood sugars FBS, PLBS.

3.Chest X-ray.

4.Liver function tests.

5.Blood grouping and typing.

6.HIV AND HbsAg.

7.Ultrasound abdomen and pelvis.

8.Serum creatinine, serum electrolytes, serum calcium, blood urea, Uric acid.

9.ECG, 2D Echo, and stress test (TMT).

10.Lipid profile.

11.Compete urine examination (CUE).

12.Thyroid profile.

13.Stool routine examination.

14.Pap smear.

15.Pulmonary function testing (PFT).

16.Vision testing including visual acuity, eye pressure, and fundus examination.

17.Mammography.

18.Breast examination by a Gynecologist.

These investigations will help to know the status various functions of the body systems.
