my husband's hand have changed since he's turned 60. They have become a little knarled at the top joints near the nails, and the nails look every-so-slightly yellow. What could this be from?

Thanks for writing in.
The changes described by you are most probably age related changes. As long as there is no functional disability in the usage then there is no need to worry. The yellowish discoloration is not jaundice if there is no yellowish pigmentation of the sclera. Ingestion of carotenoid containing foods can also cause this coloration.
i hope this answers your querry.
