i have pityriasis rosea for about 8 weeks now. the rash has stopped spreading, but has dried out and has left me with a "leathery" feel on my skin. It's cracking and peeling, but also is tight and sore. It sort of feels like a bad sunburn.
Is this normal when the rash starts to diminish?

Acyclovir
Oral:
- Treatment of initial and recurrent genital herpes.
- Prophylaxis of frequently recurrent genital herpes infections..
- Treatment of chickenpox in children ranging from 2 to 18 years of age.
- Acute treatment of herpes zoster (Varicella).
Parenteral:
- Severe genital herpes in clients
- Mucosal and cutaneous HSV-1 and HSV-2 infections in immunocompromised individuals.
- Varicella zoster infections (shingles) in immunocompromised clients.
Topical:
- Acyclovir decreases healing time and duration of viral shedding in initial herpes genitalis.
- Limited non-life-threatening mucocutaneous HSV infections in immunocompromised clients.
Vidarabine
Systemic: Herpes simplex virus encephalitis. Neonatal herpes simplex viral infections including disseminated infection with encephalitis, visceral involvement, and infections of the eyes, mouth, and skin. Herpes zoster in immunocompromised clients.
Ophthalmic: Acute keratoconjunctivitis and recurrent epithelial keratitis caused by HSV types 1 and 2. Superficial keratitis caused by HSV that is resistant to idoxuridine or when toxic or hypersensitivity reactions have resulted from idoxuridine. It is more effective than idoxuridine for deep recurrent infections.

Administered to counteract deficiency states, malnutrition.

Promotes growth.

Idoxuridine
Herpes simplex keratitis, especially for initial epithelial infections characterized by the presence of thread-like extensions. NOTE: Idoxuridine will control infection but will not prevent scarring, loss of vision, or vascularization. Alternative form of therapy must be instituted if no improvement is noted after 7 days or if complete reepithelialization fails to occur after 21 days of therapy
Levodopa/ Benserazide
Idiopathic, arteriosclerotic, or postencephalitic parkinsonism. Parkinsonism due to carbon monoxide or manganese intoxication. Levodopa only provides symptomatic relief and does not alter the course of the disease. When effective, it relieves rigidity, bradykinesia, tremors, dysphagia, seborrhea, sialorrhea, and postural instability. Used in combination with carbidopa. Investigational: Pain from herpes zoster; restless legs syndrome
