vaginal discharge during intercourse
During intercourse my boyfriend and I noticed a foul odor. Not necessarily fishy but it was accompanied by a vaginal discharge that was white thick and almost cottage cheese-like. I have not been checked for STD's in a very long time and my boyfriend and I are not using contraceptives regularly. These symptoms sound like a yeast infection but I am very worried that it may be and STD. Please help.

In combination with aminoglycosides for mixed aerobic and anaerobic bacterial infections. Staphylococci-induced acute hematogenous osteomyelitis. Adjunct to surgery for chronic bone/joint infections. Investigational: Alternative to sulfonamides in combination with pyrimethamine in the acute treatment of CNS toxoplasmosis in AIDS clients. In combination with primaquine to treat Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia. Chlamydial infections in women. Bacterial vaginosis due to Gardnerella vaginalis. Topical Use. Used topically for inflammatory acne vulgaris. Vaginally to treat bacterial vaginosis. Investigational: Treatment of rosacea (lotion used).

*Systemic use:
-Amebiasis.
-Symptomatic and asymptomatic trichomoniasis; to treat asymptomatic partner.

-Anaerobic bacterial infections of the abdomen, female genital system, skin or skin structures, bones and joints, lower respiratory tract, and CNS.
-Also, septicemia, endocarditis, hepatic encephalopathy.
-Crohn's disease and pseudomembranous colitis.
-Investigational: giardiasis, Gardnerella vaginalis.
*Topical use:
-Inflammatory papules, pustules, and erythema of rosacea.
-Investigational: Infected decubitus ulcers (use 1% solution prepared from oral tablets).
