Arthritis literally means joint inflammation. It is not a single disease but rather the predominant feature of more than 100 diseases. Some of the well known types of arthritis are osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and gout. As in other types of inflammations, the main symptoms of arthritis are swelling and pain. Since joints, or the areas where two bones are held to each other, are so crucial to movement, arthritis causes stiffness and at times restricts movement.

The symptom of pain, swelling, or stiffness with limitation of joint movement is called arthritis. In certain serious types of arthritis (e.g. rheumatoid arthritis) the stiffness and limitation of joint movement is especially worse for prolonged periods in the mornings. Occasionally, the symptoms may be acute with red, hot swollen joints. In chronic cases the joints may become deformed.
Bacterial Arthritis
Septic arthritis or Bacterial arthritis is inflammation of a synovium along with purulent effusion inside the joint capsule due to bacterial infection. This disease may also be called as suppurative, purulent, or infectious arthritis. Septic arthritis is a rare disease of the joints. Sometimes bacteria infect might only infect the joint and it is possible that rest of the body remains unharmed.
Rheumatoid Arthritis
Rheumatoid Arthritis is a disease of body joints. It is an autoimmune disorder which causes inflammation of lining surfaces of the body joints resulting in pain, swelling, stiffness and altered functional capability of that joint. It involves small joints first. Rheumatoid Arthritis can affect the tissues around the joint and even it can affect the other organs of the body. As this disease can affect the other organs of the body so it is sometimes referred to as Rheumatoid Disease.
Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis in children
Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis causes joint inflammation for at least six weeks in children 16 years old or younger. It is the most common type of childhood arthritis. It is an autoimmune disorder.
Knee replacement or knee arthroplasty
The surgical procedure or knee arthroplasty is a surgical procedure to replace weight bearing surfaces of the knee joint to decrease the pain and disabilities of osteoarthritis. It is also seen in other diseases like rheumatoid arthritis and psoriatic arthritis.

I've always had a bit of joint pain. But as of latley it's been getting to stupid levels.
